I adore Paris, its history, culture, the sights, the cafes and the whole vibe. Why should everyone have to speak English???? No wonder some people get annoyed with visitors who make no effort to learn a few basic expressions. The rudest people i have met on my many travels have been Australians and Americans who have the attitude everyone is stupid if they don't speak English.

  I choose not to celebrate my birthday because the only birthday mentioned in the bible cost John the Baptist his life, but the bible does say the day of a mans death is more important because the day he is born he has no reputation but on the day he dies everyone knows what kind of person he was.

I loved Paris and been there twice now. My ancestors on my paternal grandmothers side (her maternal side) came from France to avoid the St Bartholomew's Massacre. A small familial connection but the country resonated with me.
