The Mandela effect...some fun things to try...
APB04-Apr-25 01:11 am
This effect was named after thousands of people remembering Nelson Mandela as having died in prison...when most people remember the rest of his life...I remember watching the evening news and learning that the girl who played Uhuru on Star Trek had died...then watching the same news item..word for word..several months later..apparently she had died twice.....here are some for you...do you remember the little man in Monopoly wearing a monocle?....do you remember the Coca Cola logo having a wavy dash in the middle?...The Volvo logo when it was just a simple disc, with no arrow sticking out the side?...well you are wrong...they didn't happen...Darth Vader never said "Luke I'm your father"...and Forest Gump never said "life is like a box of chocolates"...even though the actors concerned think they did...Oh and "Sex in the City"...that never happened..it was called "Sex and the City"..please check!!....very weird things are happening...there are loads more...we just really need to pay more attention.....and please report back!

"Froot Loops", does anyone else not remember it being spelled with the "O"'s in both words having pieces of the cereal in place of the "O"'s Apparently not! It was supposedly always spelled correctly, as "Fruit Loops"

I ate fruit loops in the UK as a child..I noticed much later that Australia spelt it differently and thought they just used the American spelling...and you are also totally right on the other point....well done

I can only think of Coon Cheese for some reason. Don't ask me what it's called now it actually put me off buying it like I use to.

yes I blame the stupid Woke Generation. I think the name change would've put quite a few consumers off.

While I'm not sure why a Doctor started making cheese...it was unfortunate that his surname was coon...I have never met anyone who had this surname..or heard of anyone else called coon...When I first arrived in Australia I fell about laughing at the fact that Australians bought Coon cheese (Saudi Arabia used to have Coon Toothpaste,,,which was really good)..and I wondered how they could be allowed to sell it...twenty years later they changed the name...long after anybody who cared about it had given up...welcome to Australia....

I'm sure Nestle . . pronounced Nest Lay used to be Nestles . . pronounced Nesulls. . . . Chocolates.

Yes in my youth and probably yours, we all thought Nestles was British or Oz but now little old Switzerland has claimed it so it has to have a continental accent and has become Nestle' - Neslay to the uninitiated!

Another one is that nobody in any of the Star Trek show or movies has ever actually said the line "Beam me up, Scotty", but it is often 'quoted' by many people. 🙂 The scripts for the Star Wars movies (like many others) were constantly being altered before and during filming, so it is possible that in an earlier draft it did actually say "Luke, I am your father" rather than "No, I am your father." Some scripts Vader is not Luke's father at all and even when the movie was filmed, the final scripts around that scene given to all the other actors kept that secret from them. The Volvo logo has been changed a few times over the years, some of them do not have any oval / disc / circle at all, but those that do all have the arrow, except for the very first one which uses an oval. https://logohistory.net/volvo-logo/

And one of my favourites, Mae West didn't say.... “Come up and see me sometime,” She said....“Why don’t you come up some time and see me"... in the 1933 movie "She Done Him Wrong " But my favourite quote is.. "When I'm good, I'm very good, but when I'm bad, I'm better".....and she did say that...and so do I ....lol
