the real reason for Easter has been lost amid the hundreds of ways businesses have discovered how to make a few extra dollars. 😔

I look after my daughter's dog at Easter and Christmas. This way she gets a couple of breaks in the year to visit friends who live in country areas. Our family have never been big on the eggs and rabbits nonsense of Easter.

any reason to get your family and friends together is a good one, not into the hype of easter but the big fella up there knows we care on a daily basis

We don't bother with any of these 'holidays' anyway - just another day, same as any other (except for the shops sometimes being closed and no adverts on TV). I'm not saying Sandra G is, but it's always funny when religious people complain about Easter, Christmas, etc. being usurped by retail commercialism these days ... *ALL* of these so-called Christian celebrations were actually hijacked by the medieval church leaders from existing earlier Pagan celebrations, so in reality none of them really had anything to do with Jesus in the first place. 🙄Edited 04-Apr-25 07:28am

Why would you celebrate someone dying on a cross?...Easter is a pagan holiday celebrating fertility...and rebirth..a joyous time...no-one asked Christians to impose themselves and their guilt ridden faith on an established festival and spoil the party...but you did anyway....
