Like the rest of the internet you do have to be careful - there is a lot of good stuff there, but also a lot of utter garbage on YouTube which is best ignored. YouTube is also annoyingly started adding more adverts before and during videos, and using techniques that don't currently work with ad blocking software. 🙁

Watching uses for wheelie bins :) But I've used it for many things. I figured out the problem with my washing machine and what part I needed, among other things. It comes in handy when you're trying to figure something out.

I couldn't imagine life without it TBH. A few months ago, YT had an outage in the UK, that lasted 24 hrs. People were complaining and carrying on for the whole duration.

there was an airline pilot whose niece was having trouble with high school math, so he offered to help her. He was always travelling for his job, so he decided to use YouTube as a communication means. He creates YT videos as tutorials directed at her. She passes math's and gets her school friends to use the YT clips as well and they passed math's. He is now running the YT tutorials as a business for all school children and his niece is working for him.

I use YouTube mainly for keeping a music playlist of songs from my favorite music artists. I play the list or part of it almost every evening before going to bed. About 4 months ago I saw a podcast of a new doctor that I was going to go to shortly. . I liked his mannerisms , so I went to the doctor's appt knowing exactly what to expect. Turns out he was exactly how he was on the podcast. I can see why there were so many good reviews about him.

On YouTube I find music from all over the world. I've used it for DIY demonstrations on how to fix appliances, cars, how to cook certain types of food ...just about anything. Product comparisons such as the latest iPhone vs Samsung vs Sony etc. Cartoons and children's shows. Watch stand-up comedians, movies and TV shows, and sporting events.

There's a series of YouTube videos of a couple who inherited a farm but didn't know how to run it. So, they YouTubed. She then decided to record themselves using this method of farm education and have created a YouTube series.

I recently strained my left Achilles tendon (inflamed Achilles). My physio wanted $125 per session, 2 sessions per week, perhaps 8 weeks all up. I went to YouTube and started researching. I bought an ultrasound device $200 online and delivered. I bought a square (oblong) mop bucket $10. I bought a tube of Voltarin $20. I already had a TENS machine with pads. I started treating myself. Twice a day Ultrasound. Twice a day TENS. Twice a day soak my foot in a bucket of ice water for 2 hrs. (half fill bucket and place in chest freezer for 4 hrs.) Voltarin at night. After 2 weeks I have cut back my self-treating and am now walking normally and gradually stretching and strengthening the tendon. So, I'm about 85% healed, but with a great deal of financial saving. Thankyou YouTube.

I went to a podiatrist a year ago for mine . Scans showed calcification and scarring in both. One was pretty sore , instead of expensive orthotics or worse he directed me to chemist warehouse for some small heel inserts instead to lift my foot up inside the shoe. @$9 .It reduces the strain on the tendon ( distance between the ground and your ankle ) It works!!

I tried the softer rubber ones .You can cut them down if they are under your arch ( you just want them under your heels) Also I put mine under the insoles so they don't move around but depends on how your shoes fit, see how you go! Hopefully they help after a week or two along with your other remedies :)
