Didn't exist when I was a kid and I never did it when my kids were little - I don't think it was a thing then either. I think it has grown because of the supermarkets and their advertising

No Easter in this household and the only eggs we'll have are the ones reduced after Sunday.
·

More than half of the people today don't even know what Easter is all about. It is the resurrection of our Lord & Saviour, Jesus Christ! It is NOT about Easter Bunnies and egg hunts and getting candy. I think those things are ok but ONLY if children are brought up to know the TRUE meaning of Easter.

boy blunder
every hunt for the last few years has been way too hot they melt before found, so this year im chaining up the esky and they have to find the key to the lock which of course will be in my pocket while they search I will replace it in the lock, if i know my grandkids they will give up in a couple of minutes and try to remove the chain but we will see

and I'm sure they are much better for them .. the bunny just brings us some true and trusted block or box to share and celebrate with.
·
Linda J 383315Maria B 89860
plus I don't want their parents getting cranky for giving them too much chocolate!!
·
Maria B 89860Linda J 383315
Perhaps they're cranky from lack of chocolates ... surely they could sthealthy hide some for future consumption instead of putting a damper on the day ... speaking of which love damper adds to the festivities.

·

I don't have kids of that age any more, but have enjoyed seeing the excitement at the Botanical Gardens in Adelaide one year when I just chanced to choose to have a day out there and saw them running around and the peels of laughter as they found the hidden treasures.
·
Sandra F 947877
I love Easter. We always have a big egg hunt. We usually have it at my house but this year we’re having it at my youngest sons new house.
·

When I was a kid my uncle's wife would take me to the Easter Egg Hunt at the park while my Mom, other aunt and Grandma were cooking the Easter dinner. Twice in a year I won and found the Golden Egg "with my aunt's help" LOL If it was raining Mom and Dad would hide eggs in the house for us to find,

I am proud to admit (express) - I am a hard-core-atheist. I don't celebrate 'any' religious holidays 'under' any circumstances! CIAO!

I feel sorry for you. You are missing out on a wonderful life - trust & accept Jesus. No one has ever regretted becoming a Christian. NO ONE!
·
BLACK LIVES MATTEREllen P 667007
Actually more people have been killed and enslaved in the name of Christianity than anything else on the planet (Example: Ongoing colonialism on the planet operating under of the cover of democracy!). I am 'sorry' for you - that you became the most disguising creature on this planet - a Christian!
·
Ellen P 667007BLACK LIVES MATTER
People have given their lives in wars for your freedom. Do you think all soldiers who kill are disgusting creatures? I will still pray for you even though you called me a disgusting creature. There is no room in this forum for sarcasm. Have a nice day.
