I haven't indulged in anything Easter themed this year but I did smash back a few ciders the other night with friends lol.That was expensive enough!

My Nana would never give us chocolate Easter Eggs because she reckoned they were bad for our teeth. The thing was she gave us Easter Eggs made from Icing Sugar or similar - so hard we could easily have broken our teeth.

They are so expensive in the shops now that they are just sitting on the shelves. Perhaps everyone is waiting till they drop the price??

when my boys where little, I use to make the Maltese traditional biscuit base bunnies covered with marzipan, then ice them according to the child I was giving them to eg. blue for boys and pink for girls, and make them like they had cloths, and to finish off we put a easter egg in the middle, We call them "Fiolla" the kids loved them,

Couldn't give a hoot as I don't celebrate Easter, however, once the lunacy is past I'll check out the chocolate eggs that are reduced.

Why buy and pay for fancy packed eggs . I buy hard ones as more value in them compared to empty ones

Eater egg hunts were fun when I was a kid and with my kids growing up. Now I'm with partner only and we just buy ourselves just chocolate bars/kitkats, etc, cheaper than bunnies or eggs as they are so expensive, not worth it.

Easter is not about eggs and bunnies, the the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ who died for all mankind so we who believe will have eternal life.

When the kids were younger I used to love Easter. We would have a big family Easter egg hunt. Just too expensive to buy now.

I like the chocolate marshmaloow bunnies. As a child at Easter in Kentucky, I used to get a dyed live chick.

I love making my own from boiled eggs & paint them, These days though as there are no little ones running around it is more toned down and it's plain boiled and enjoyed with other goodies on a big plate of cold cuts etc and block or box of chocolates for "dessert" and refreshments to wash it all down.

Interesting isn't it? When Christianity started spreading it's, to some evil, other wonderful, tenatcles around the world the missionaries loudly condemned and persecuted without any Christian Love or Mercy whatsoever those who practiced religions which had been in existence for 10s of 1000s of years before the Christian Myth was created. At the time, of course, there was no chocolate or factories to make Chocolate eggs but those totally Hypocritical, Evil self-styled missionaries, some of whom, including the English one, Patrick who unfortunately got to Ireland, adopted many of the Pagan Traditions, including the one Christians now call Easter, whilst they were persecuting the people who were practicing their own religion.
