If you grew up in a fairly cold and wet place....holidays involved going somewhere hot dry and sunny ... palm trees, beaches ... but living in a subtropical climate ... holidays involve the cold and snow ... somewhere DIFFERENT from what is usual, and that makes most of the planet an ideal tourist destination for someone.
