A relative received insurance money for stolen jewellery. She was instructed to go to a particular store on the Central Coast in NSW to buy replacement jewellery. Many of the items stolen were heirlooms, so it was going to be heartbreaking. At the store, she noticed there was a half-price sale. Was she lucky this time? Not really. The store manager claimed that it was policy for Jewellers to charge full price for items bought with insurance money, even though the sale was on. This seems very unfair to me and a very bad policy. What do you think?
