I can only wonder how many more trees countries like AUSTRALIA will need for our increasing population? I believe there is a current shortage, like so many things at the moment. Since we need more timber to build housing...to supply those looking to buy, then it makes more sense to grow more.
I don't think our politicians are doing enough to encourage more timber supplies.
It takes years for timber to grow, and we should not always look to overseas for some of our timber.
