We love traveling, and have just done a big trip to Europe and The UK.
While we were there we were asked a lot about Australia and of course we told a few pork pies (exaggerated truths).
What is the best one you have told?
The one we used to tell American sailors (before internet) was that the Harbour Bridge was closed every day at 5pm for the Kangaroos to cross. It was amazing how many believed it.
While crossing from Spain to Italy by ferry I told some Danes that I was related to Princess Mary. I could be but not known.
