You need a little rabbit proof fence ? I used to have to cook rabbit at work so in turn ate some fillets back in the day .but it's hard to find anywhere now .l remember it got expensive too. Not sure I would buy it if I could though now . My mother was cooking up a lovely casserole once as dad's work colleagues were coming for dinner . She took the cooking wine to it ...". it smelt lovely" he said as he arrived home ... Then discovered she'd opened the wrong bottle .. only his prized possession he'd intended to serve his boss !!

I do vaguely remember seeing this bunny but didn’t realise that it was here. My mother used to cook a beautiful rabbit stew when I was young, but she bought it from the butcher. it was not as expensive as other meats and we were not well off so was affordable. That little AI rabbit looks so fake and reminds me of how technology can possibly take jobs away from many of the working population now as well as jobs and life skills that our children and their children may never get to experience because we have come to just take AI and robots for granted and expect everything to be done for us without needing to do much at all.

I must have missed something as I don't recall seeing a little bunny running across the screen. I'm sorry though, that this upsets you. We all have something that triggers bad memories. It can be a song, or a sound or even a fragrance. In regard to rabbits, I remember when I was six years old and first saw the video clip to the song, 'Bright Eyes' by Art Garfunkel. I howled, as the thought of cute little bunnies dying was horrendous at that tender age.

I have a beautiful bunny rabbit, love it so very much. It is white with large dark spots with huge floppy ears, I feed it apples and carrots and pellets every day. I keep fresh straw in two large areas he has to sleep in. I keep him indoors when it is cold, outdoors when it is warm enough. I carry him back and forth and he lets me carry him easily even though he is huge in size now. I call him Honey Bunny!

Am I missing something? I've never seen a bunny hop across my screen? Some of the ads shown are not relevant to me which I thought they're meant to and some ads don't allow you to trigger you are not interested in them and others do which is annyoing. We should have some sort of control of the ad content that is shown as some are just stupid, rude or adults only.

I grew up in the UK during the war and we often ate rabbit to eke out the meat ration. Glad to say I have overcome that and love seeing rabbits and quite enjoy seeing the one hopping around in the ad

I like bunnies, ads don't bother me at all as I just tune them out and don't pay attention to them.

That's a sad memory. I've never eaten it, but my husband ordered it last night at a restaurant because he has fonds memories of his mom cooking it. I'm thankful that rabbits aren't the main thing that Easter is all is about! Edited 23-Mar-25 17:44pm

I had memmory's when I was very young when we went camping sometimes my Dad's friends that had older children seemed to love setting Rabbit traps so much and wanting to eat them, but me and my older sister where horrified by the idea.

I think it brings happy thoughts and memories to me of my child hood. We didn't have much money when I was a kid. Remember making our Easter basket of of plastic Javed bottles. And we would cut paper into strips for the bedding. It was fun.

My first house when I married was in Kangaroo Valley. It was a little rundown fibro building with a rusty iron roof and a small iron tank. We went there because my daughter had problems with drinking cow's milk. I had managed to get a job in Nowra with the Council. Over the next three years I was grateful to have a bunny meat to ea tat least once a week to keep our budget from falling apart and the Bank happy!

I checked out the little bunnies, thinking how realistic they look, but on closer inspection they're just a stuffed fabric toy that wiggles a big, not as life like as in the ads. The ads are real bunnies.

When I was growing up we had some neighbours who kept rabbits. their son loved them because he thought they were pets. When the parents killed them and cooked them they were surprised when their son became very upset when they served them up.

My father as a young boy was an avid rabbit hunter and this was before the health dept started to reduce the population and kept the family in regular rabbit stew

Rabbits are good to eat my daughrer has them causing a bit of a problem on their acreage & I suggested her husband shoots them for food as the only ones you can buy are so expensive sounds silly as they kept Australians in protein during the depression. should be banned at Easter, If you do not believe in our Lord Jesus or Passover do not take the holidays you work so the Christians can celebrate this special time of the year. Easter buns which I love to make just before Good Friday, my children liked the eggs on Easter Day even though they did not get many as I do not like chololate & did not understand why they would like so many especially eating them at breakfast.

Easter bunny is cute; rabbit introduced into Australia is vermin. My husband's Grandmother used to cook the best rabbit wrapped in bacon, roasted in the wood stove.

I just love bunnies when they are small, they are so cute.

So when I was in Aus a farmer told me that to eat wild rabbit you need to soak the carcass overnight or more in salty water. The container needs to be glass or plastic. That absolutely made all the difference. But you are so right about triggered memories. "Forgive and forget" is one of the stupidest sayings that there is. Mine is cooked up lamb's fry after I'd been made to get up early and go down to the sheep yard and tell Dad which of the yarded sheep he was to kill for our meat. As good a butcher as he was, the meat from those sheep was always tainted in my view and lamb's fry is only good for pet food!

I like the ad, it's cute. If I had a young child or grandchild I would definitely buy one. Eating Rabbit Stew is no different to eating other meat. They are a pest in Australia. If you lived in the country areas you would understand why, they do a lot of damage.

I remember one Easter when I went to my boyfriend's house for dinner, and his mother served rabbit, and she said, in front of his sister's kids, that it wasn't the Easter bunny. I couldn't eat the rabbit anyways.

Have not seen it. Would never eat it as have been a vegetarian since I was very young after seeing a chicken I use to feed every day to help dad out running around with no head on. And then my pet lamb I found one day after school hanging from a tree gutted etc.

I think rabbits are too adorable to eat. I see them in pet stores and see their cute faces, and wonder how people could hurt them. I use to have one as a pet. For some reason I am ok with hot dogs and cheeseburgers, but when it comes to animals such as rabbits, fish, and even though I hate them; snakes I just cant get myself to eat them.

Unfortunately I was told it was chicken after I watched my uncle skin the rabbits. Couple days later they made it for dinner. When i was done with my food i told them thank you that chicken was the best. They all started to laugh At me and tell me that i better go to bed before i start hoping lol.

Triggers! I HATE it when something I see, something someone says or a song that I hear, triggers a BAD memory. It seems I have many more bad memories in my lifetime than good ones. I regret I didn't find God earlier in my life so it wouldn't have been so crazy bad. ;-(

I think one of my uncles used to keep rabbits as pets and I used to play with them as well, we were all very close in age (my uncles and aunts). then Grandma cooked rabbit stew one day and I just couldn't partake, no matter how hungry I was, made do with a big slice of homemade bread spread with lard and a sprinkling of salt.

The worst thing about Easter is that the hot cross buns appear on Boxing Day. I loved cooked rabbit.
