Make Sure You Give Us A 5-Star Review
Holly CatNov 20, 24
Often times, when I eat at a restaurant, go to a clothing store, or visit any type of business lately, the staff member tells me to be sure and give them a 5-star review online. I had a waiter bring out a QR code for me to scan with my cell phone in hopes I'd go online and give a 5-star review. I told him I didn't want to do the review now, I'd do it later. I hadn't even left, and he's trying to get me to do a review before I leave!
I understand how important the online reviews are for businesses, but I find it a bit tacky and rude to ask me to be sure and give them a 5-star review. The service may have been great, but I don't feel they should be telling me to go write a review. I do write reviews online, but when I feel like it.
What do you think? Am I just being a grouch, or is it a bit tacky and rude to tell customers to write a good review online? Perhaps this is just normal now.
